What we handle
Repair and performance under one roof.
Maintenance & Repair
Oil services, cooling systems, gaskets, electrical — OEM parts, factory intervals, documented.
M Performance
Rod bearing services, fluids, brakes, and the upgrades that make an M car sharper.
Dinan & Tuning
Authorized Dinan dealer — plus licensed calibration software and supporting hardware planned per platform.
Common BMW failures we fix
These aren't scare tactics — they're the patterns we see on our lifts every week. Catch them early and they're maintenance; ignore them and they're major repairs.
Oil Leaks & Consumption
Valve cover gaskets, oil filter housing seals, and oil pan gaskets harden with heat cycles and leak. We reseal with OEM gaskets and clean the mess properly — before oil reaches belts, mounts, and wiring.
Cooling System Failures
Electric water pumps, thermostats, and plastic expansion tanks are known BMW weak points. Overheating a BMW even once can mean a head gasket. We replace the system as a service, not after the tow.
VANOS & Timing Issues
VANOS solenoids and timing chain components (especially N20/N26) cause rough running, rattle, and codes. We diagnose with factory tooling and repair before the chain becomes the engine.
Carbon Buildup & Injectors
Turbocharged direct-injection engines coke up intake valves and wear injectors — hesitation, misfires, lost power. Walnut blasting and injector service restore how the car left Munich.
Electrical & Module Faults
iDrive glitches, keyless entry faults, batteries that were never registered. Factory-level coding and diagnosis — not a parts cannon.
Suspension & Bushing Wear
Control arms, bushings, and struts wear and kill the precise BMW feel. We rebuild the front end with OEM-grade components, torqued to spec and road-tested.
Three steps. No surprises.
Diagnose & Document
Factory-level scan tools and a real diagnostic process isolate the actual fault — documented with photos of what we found on your car.
You Approve First
You get the diagnosis, the estimate, and the honest recommendation before any work starts. Text updates while it's in the shop.
Repair, Torque, Road-Test
OEM and authorized-dealer parts, installed to spec and documented. Nothing leaves until it's been road-tested and verified.
BMW maintenance, translated
BMW’s iDrive will happily suggest oil intervals north of 10,000 miles — fine for a lease, hard on a keeper. Real-world Hudson Valley driving (short trips, cold starts, spirited on-ramps) is better served around 7,000 with the correct Longlife-approval oil. “Lifetime” coolant and transmission fluid aren’t lifetime either — they’re “life of the warranty.” We service to what keeps an S55 or B58 healthy at 150,000 miles, not what looks cheapest on a lease sheet.
The BMW cooling system conversation
Every BMW owner eventually has it: water pumps, thermostats, expansion tanks, and plastic fittings that age out around 60–100k miles — often with little warning beyond a temperature spike on the highway. It’s not a flaw in your car; it’s a design trade-off in most modern BMWs, and an overheat event on an aluminum engine costs ten times the prevention. If your BMW is approaching six digits on original cooling components, a pressure test and honest assessment now is the cheapest insurance we sell. Read the full article →
